Please be careful when updating software or browser plugins such as Skype, Flash Player and Java. When they prompt you to update, they sneakily try to install additional unwanted software or change your browser settings. You can prevent this by just un-ticking the boxes when prompted. See below examples where the boxes are ticked by default – you should un-tick all of these before proceeding.
